What could be wrong with me?? Someone please help

Since April I've noticed a change in my urination, it seems hard to start my urine stream, it sometimes goes in multiple directions, and when I hold it in, it gives me a burning sensation around my penis.  Since July my muscles have been sore all day and night, and my throat has also been a bit scratchy. About 3 weeks ago I had a sharp pain in my kidney, and it lasted about 3-4 days, I went to the clinic as soon as it started to hurt, they made me do a urine sample and get an ultrasound on my kidneys. For about 2 weeks now Ive had a funny taste in my mouth, almost like a bitter taste. So my results came back and there was nothing, but I know that here is something wrong with me, I cant just urinate differently all the time, have a bad taste in my mouth, and feel crummy and sore all the time for no reason, What do you think I should do? Do you think this could be prostatitis, if so; could someone define to me what exactly that is and the causes of it. Thanks again.

hi again, so I did some research today, and I came across a home remidy section, I read about a tea you can get to make the inflamation down, and pretty much make you all better, it's called goldenseal, it's from a herb, have you heard anything about this, do you have any opinions about this, thanks again... It means a lot.

I meant to say, the person who owned the sex toy had chlamydia. I read that it is possible to have prostatitis while being 18. One other thing I should mention is that I have a hot tub, I heard the bacteria can live in that, could the water possibly infected me? Thank you.

I am only 18 years old, at the time in january I had a chlamydia scare, because I used the sex toy on myself, and I later found out that that person had clamydia. I went for a normal test, and I went for a rectal swabbing, it came back -. Is it possible for me to have prostatitis even if I'm 18? Thank you.

Hi,
The common causes of acute prostatitis are ascending infection from urethra, reflux of urine into the prostatic ducts and direct spread from the rectum. In people who are younger than 35 yrs of age, it’s the Chlamydia & Neissaria which are the culprit organisms. However, in older age, it’s the other bacteria E. coli, Pseudomonas, Proteus etc which are the culprit organisms. Hence, it’s mainly the infections which can spread to prostate causing prostatitis. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.

Hi,
I have not heard of anyone getting prostatitis with the use of anal sex toy. However, stimulating/massaging the prostate with anal sex toy can definitely cause the infection to spread from the prostate to the bloodstream. Hence, don’t use it for the time being till the diagnosis of prostatitis is confirmed and please seek an opinion from a urologist and get it ruled out. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.

Hi,
The possibility of prostatitis is definitely there and needs to be ruled out. For the same, a digital rectal examination and trans-rectal ultrasound along with the urine examination can help in making the diagnosis. The treatment consists of antibiotics. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
