blood in urine?????

my girlfriend for the past two days has noticed on and off blood in her urine.
she does not have any symptoms of say a urinary tract infection like pain,or burning when peeing or fever,,,only thing is the urge to urinate often, and blood on toilet paper.
she noticed the water in toilet looked red,,,she wiped, and it was pink....went again,,,wiped it was red blood.
its MORE then just trace amounts its noticable.
the even tried to pee in a clear cup,and it was pss, with small red "clots" that looked like small rice granules?
she has made an appointment for friday, but i tell her to go to the er,,,what do you all think, and wouldnt she expect more symptoms with say UTI...or kidney stone or infection???

a UTI  is a form of either bladder infection or kidney infection and what it soulds like is what i am trying to get over , i also had blood in my urine and peed in a cup to see that i had small long lookign bloody clots , and when i wiped it was like a mucus . she needs antibiotics asap cause if the bactiria travels to the kidneys it may do damage , so if u feel as though she is getting worse then yes go to the e.r , tell her to drink cranberry juice , and lots and lots of water, also stay away from tea ,coffee, sodas , caffeen . that tends to make them worse . this is my 2nd uti within 3months , i havent had them in a cpl of yrs  and back then my very first uti  was pretty bad peeing pure blood ! anyways hope she feels better soon . best of luck
