cancer on Ct

For the past two years i have been having pain during intercourse and trouble urinating, so after a year of this i had a hysterectomy. I still feel pain on one side of my vagina and still have problems urinating always feel like my abdominal hurts. I have had CT scans and ultrasound during this time....would this have shown cancer?

The thing is I have been told I have kidney stones and a cyst on my left kidney. They said it wasnt in the way so not to worry. Only once while at my many visits did my urine show blood and protein, which led them to an ultrasound and 24 hr collection. They said it wasnt enough to worry about, but I know enough to know that blood and protein is a cause for concern. I first noticed blood from my urethra 2 yrs ago after first getting sick with a flu that wouldnt quit and 3 round of antibiotics. I have felt fatigued, dizzy along with many other symptoms since. I have been home for good. I am so weak I can hardly stand up for more than 5 min at a time. Who knows whats going on this causes so much anxiety. Thanks so much for taking the time to respond to my post.

From what I have been through and what oncologist just told me, CTscans are OK for a basic check, but won't tell physician the details of what is going on. I was trying to get out of a barium enema..lol.

You may need a test that lets doc either do a biopsy or some sort of tissue exam of vagina, or see urologist for whatever test it is that they do.  I saw one for complications arising from radiation scarring.  No CT scan mentioned.  Was referred to oncology gyn who has me on vaginal hormone until next month when she and urologist may be able to loosen scarring and he will do a 'balloon test'..whatever that is.

I am only mentioning my stuff which is not at all what you are dealing with to say that CTscan, in my surgeon's opinion, won't let him see if colon is free of cancer: he can't do a colonoscopy because colon is too brittle from radiation.
