difficulty urinating

I am a 48 year old female. I had a surgical bladder repair in 2000. Over the last year I have found it more and more difficult to empty my bladder. I sit and wait and nothing comes out. I can cause a flow to start by lightly touching the area near my urethral opening with tissue and sometimes I have to jiggle it to make the stream continue. Other times i also need to tilt my body to one side to help it along.Even after voiding I sometimes feel I did not empty fully. There is no pain as with an infection. I just have a difficult time going.
What could be the cause. Should I seek medical help?

Thank you so much for your reply. I just got my health insurance back. I will definitely seek medical help for this issue.

hI. I would say, most deffinetely seek help. I have had corrective surgeries to my bladder and had the same problem as you do. There are things your doctor can do for you to help. If you won`t seek help the problem may get worse. good luck to you. :`)
