Lower Abdomen Pain

Hello,
Was wondering what kind of advice you may be able to help me with concerning my lower abdomen pain. It started about 2 yrs ago.
I have some very bad back problems,(Degenerative Disc) Lumbar region, but what bothers me worse most of the time is the ongoing burning and radiant pain that consumes my lower abdomen and part of the left lower abdomen.
I had been to my locale Physician when they noticed some blood in my urine that showed up during a normal blood test. I told my Dr. that I had been having severe abdomen pain for about a year now, and how intense the burning sensation was, and as if there were a hot baseball in my stomach. The pain would get so severe as to go around my back up around towards my kidneys. The only relief I could get was to lay on a real firm pillow, but it just eased the pain somewhat.
He sent me for a CT  Scan and everything appeared normal, although he put me on some sort of temporary prescription. From there I went to a Eurologist, who was new at his practice. Once there they did an Ultra Sound to see if the Bladder was relieving itself completey and it was.Sooooo they performed a Systoscopy and it was the worst pain I had ever experienced in my life.
When he went through the prostate area my pain was about an 8. I was going bonkers but he said he knew and to lay down. Now when he went into my Bladder it was as if the camera line got 5 times bigger. I went through the roof screaming and almost hit him and the nurse cursing him to take it out immediately. He all but jerked it back out as fast as he could, then told the nurse we need to get one of these (Scopes). I'm still in a lot of pain and have had 2 colonoscopies since then to make sure that there is no problem there.
My Physician doesnt understand what to do as the eurologist told him everything was fine except for inflammation.
He asked me if my abdomen painwas in the area around my prostate and bladder and I told him this horrible story.
The Urologist never followed up on what could have been causing me so much pain and never contacted my physician about it.I'm at the end of  my wits and know I need to go to a different one, but I cantbear having another one done.I know its most likely my bladder. Please do you have any suggestions?

I believe when the colonoscopy was done they determined I had bph, and I've been on a pill for that everyday, however the pain was really really bad when he went into my bladder at the opening. That was over a yr ago and I still suffer even after being put on antibiotics including cipro

Hi,

Firstly , was a urinary tract infection established? An initial urinalysis and urine culture should be done to rule out any underlying infection. A urinalysis will also help rule out proteinuria or protein in the urine which may suggest a kidney disease. A hemogram to assess the appearance of your red blood cells to determine the source of the blood will also help. If the urinalysis is normal then other tests like a CT Scan , ultrasound and IVU may be done to rule out any structural abnormalities like a stone. When all these showed unremarkable results then a cystoscopy may be done . It is important that a bladder infection has been excluded prior to doing a cystoscopy.
