Hi,
There are usually2 kinds of surgeries which are done for patients of ureteral/urinary reflux. The commonest one is the reimplantation surgery. In this, the ureter is moved and is placed in the bladder in a way that it gets the muscular support and the reflux is minimal. The ureter is angulated also which doesn’t allow the urine to go back. The other one is the endoscopic surgery in which an endoscope is passed into the urinary bladder and a material is injected close to the place where the ureters open into the bladder. This produces a local bulge which is enough to prevent the backflow of urine into the ureters. I am not aware of the procedure which you have mentioned. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
