Hi, don;t worry, this is absolutely normal, a single pounf is not that much. Bear in mind, that weight gain after quitting smoking does not last forever. So it is good you try to reduce your calories intake. 2000 calories are fine to maintain your weight, as far as I understood from your post :)

I think it a great move! Try staying at 1900 caloreis a day and gradually try to fall in between the range 1200 -1600 and you will see great results. And you dont have to do it overnite, Just do it slowly in your own pace..Also try combining exercsie with your everyday activity and you will see amzing results!
