Trudie is back on track! Down 2 lbs. today. Finally past my Thanksgiving bump and below the 180 point. Now we're really rocking!
Great job on your purchases. When the hunger calls at 10:30 pm, try eating the deli meat and popping the corn (Kettle Corn or Butter Flavor ... or add 1 TBSP Parm cheese and freshly ground black pepper) ... then ... try eating one single kernel at a time ... slowly. Focus on enjoying each little kernel and really taste the flavor. You'll savor your snack, the extra saliva helps fill you up and it allows time for your brain to register your tummy has food in it. That has saved me many a time.
As for the 2.5 lbs .. put it behind you and don't worry about it. You were travelind and indulging .. and it happens. Getting back on track shows your determination and your wonderful attitude and it's onward and upward from here!
On the Smoothie idea .. you can add a scoop of protein, some skim milk, plain yogurt and a fruit ... try blueberry with cinnamon .. mango with ginger .. or strawberry banana ...
OK .. it's 10:30PM and I got hungry. Today I bought tons of the 100 calorie fruit in a can and yogurt and yogurt mixin's for a blended fruit smoothie. I am really trying hard to reach for something healthy when the hunger calls ..... even if I have not lost any weight (as you all know I gained back my 2.5lbs loss) I have learned I can say NO to some cravings and am learning how to substitute. I bought a ton of deli meat to have on hand to snack on a piece instead of grabbing chips AND I bought Kettle Corn but I am still not sure if I like it or not LOL!
