what a couple of months

Well back in september i found a small pea size lump under my arm pit, well i tried to ignore it was worried about the big C,  well it continued to grow till 2 weeks ago it was the size of a golf ball, i couldnt ignore it any longer, so off i went to the doctors, you all know about my needle phobia, so i nearly fell off the chair when he pulled out a needle to do a biopsy, today i got the results and it turned out to be a harmless cyst, what a relief. I know i was silly not to go to the doctors strieght away. but luckly it turned out ok, i would advise anyone in the same situation get it checked out dont wait its not worth the stress,
Also today i was taken of my metformin i am no longer considered a medicated diabetic,  so great news all round

Golly, you caught me --- actually, since I *know* you are afraid of needles, it just follows that you would argue with my idea to get through the ordeal............lol  Wow - magic numbing cream??  *I* never get anything like that when I have to have a shot or get blood drawn -- well, I guess since I have to have my shots every 2 weeks, I'd probably be using a lot of it !!

Best of luck to you -- I just know it will turn out well, and of course, you have US cheering you on!!

Okay - I know you don't like needles ---- so when you go on Monday, do NOT try to watch what's going on and just think of it as a "pin *****" or "mosquito bite" if/when they give you any shots.........you can do this --- oh, stop arguing with me, you're a big girl now (I'll be there with you, so you can just squeeze my hand as hard as you can) and we love you so much, we'll be on pins and needles (no pun intended) waiting to hear how you do.........

Giant ((hugs))

Congrats on the not a "medicated diabetic". I know how important this is. My mother-in-law has been diabetic since her second child 40 years ago and even though she takes care of herself she is in the hospital with complications due to her diabetes. I'm glad your lump was only a cyst but I'm very happy for you about the diabetes. It's going to make a world of difference in your future.

Elaine -- I'm so happy that you got so lucky.  That lump could have been really bad.  Let's thank the Lord that it was nothing.  Will they be removing the cyst?  If it's large as a golf ball, that must be pretty uncomfortable.

AND you got off your meformin -- how much better can the news get??  I've no doubt that you will be able to control your diabetes with diet and exercise........... congratulations.
