Good morning... how is everyone doing this morning? It looks like it's shaping up to be clear chilly day here, though of course, still early nowhere near daylight (4:00 am). Of course, it won't be nearly as chilly as in most parts of the country and considering that it's been cold and rainy, I think some sunshine will be welcome.
Anyway, things have been going pretty well, lately, but of course, I'm up at 4:00 am for a reason, and it isn't because I love this time of morning!! :-) I've been having trouble with my acid reflux again and one of the medications they prescribed is on back order. I was told to buy a lower dosage OTC and take 2 pills instead of one, but there was none of that one shelves either. In order to get the dosage they've prescribed, I have to buy an even lower dosage and take 4 pills at one time. Not only are we dealing with inconvenience, but the cost is ridiculous and of course, it's not working or I wouldn't be posting here at 4:00 am...
I'd thought I'd be able to wait to call the gastroenterologist in April when it's time to go back for my repeat colonoscopy, but I'm not going to be able to wait that long. I'll be calling for an appointment this week as I don't dare eat anything after 6:00 pm or lying down to sleep proves impossible.
I've been working on my calligraphy lately and although I'm not very good at it, I'm having fun with it. I'm working on the Copperplate Script, which is very elegant when done correctly and some of the letters are giving me fits. I've never had a problem making letters or writing, so I have to figure out what's causing the problem. It could be my cataracts, in which case, I'll have to see if they're "ripe" and can be removed. I've only been waiting for 3 yrs now.
My neighbor and I are still walking every day, except the days on which it's really cold and windy or raining. I'm trying to eat better, but still can't seem to kick the sugar craving I developed last spring... I've had sugar cravings before, but never like this.
In spite of my best efforts, when I weighed on Friday, my weight was the same as it was last week. I guess that's better than having it increase, but it would be nice to see it going down for a change instead of staying the same or increasing.
So - what about you? I hope you reached your goal, whether it was to eat/exercise smarter or just take time for yourself every day.
