The number is irrelevant. It's how your clothes shape your body— good luck!
Definantly cut back on sodas. Replace with water and lots of it. Track what you eat and calories taken in. Be sure to eat healthy. ..do not skip meals. If weight loss is a big issue do talk to your doctor. I spoke to mine and she gave me wonderful advice. Go for walks. ..or ride a bike if you have one. And ask your friends to help you not break your diet. My son is trained to tell me to not eat candy. :) you can do it :)
I agree that you should talk to your parents or care taker to get help with losing weight safely.
60 lbs in 9 months is quite an undertaking and I believe it will quite difficult. Because you are young and your body isn't fully developed, you need to be careful about cutting calories too much, or you may miss necessary nutrients.
You should also ask to have your thyroid levels checked to rule out hypothyroidism, before you undertake a diet plan.
In the meantime, if you drink sodas, exchange them for water or unsweetened tea. If you snack a lot on chips and/or candy, exchange them for apples, berries, veggie sticks, etc. Just making these 2 changes will go along way toward jump starting your journey.
Make sure you fill your plate mostly with non-starchy veggies, and get some lean protein with every meal/snack.
Hi daniella,
First of all, I would talk to your parents or care taker. Tell them you want
to lose weight, but you want to lose the weight safely under a doctor's
care. Then have your parents or caretaker make an appointment for you
to see your family doctor. Ideally, if would be great if you could work
with a nutritionist or a dietician to plan your weight loss. I was on a medically supervised diet a number of years ago. I was on a closely
supervised food plan and I lost 38 lbs in 11 months. I know you want
to lose 50 lbs in 9 months. Let me tell you now. This is a goal that would
probably be hard to achieve. Anyway, talk to your parents or caretaker.
Have them make an appointment for you. Also know that the best way
to lose weight is to lose it slowly. There's more chance of the weight
staying off if you lose the weight slowly. It's also safer for you to do it
this way. Good luck to you. Eve
