You can't "bank" calories, you have to eat them or your metabolism will slow down. What is your daily calorie intake? You should never eat less than 1200 calories/day but probably more, depending on your height, weight and age.
in my track record I have 11 to 1200calorie remains every day that means I m banking so many calories so ideally how many calories I should take every day so my remains is nil
To begin with, any exercise is better than no exercise, so I'd recommend that you continue the slow walks, as you can; maybe eve cut back on them, so as not to over do on the knees.
Have you ever looked into yoga? There's a type of yoga for every ability, including chair yoga for seniors. You could get some light hand weights or even use water bottles to exercise you arms and upper body while sitting in a chair or standing still. Check it out.
hi dear I have recently developed a new problem in fact my both knees are replaced at the age of 40now since I was going for a brisk walk I started having pain in both knees so I went to doctor and my ortho physician told me to stop brisk walk and said I can only go for slow walk &5th at also if I don't have any pain then how will I shed so many kgs weight are there some upper body exercises which I can do while lying on bed
I just read that eating tart cherries is one way to help lower uric acid levels in your blood. Drinking 8 glasses of water/day is also recommended for lowering uric acid levels.
Do you mean Uric Acid, instead of Utica Acid? I think I'd get a different nutritionist, if I were you... Protein is a building block for muscle and without, your muscles will eventually waste away. I'm not, by any means advocating a high protein diet; if you'll notice, I said "reasonable portions" of protein and a portion is, typically, only about 3 ounces/serving, which is about the size of a deck of cards. You should most avoid the really high protein meats such as organ meats like liver and kidney, fish like mackerel, herring, sardines and mussels, and also yeast. I don't know what vegetables you're allowed, but there are quite a few you should be able to eat without much trouble.
With the limited foods you are on, you can't be getting all the nutrients you need, so I'm not surprised your energy levels would be low. If you aren't eating meats, dairy or eggs, you should have your vitamin B-12 levels tested, because you're probably deficient since vitamin B-12 only comes from animal sources and B-12 deficiency can cause the horrible fatigue/lack of energy.
thanx a lot for putting my mind to rest in fact I am already under guidance of a nutritionist but they don't give me proteins because I have high Utica acid levels so they r only giving me oats bran &barley along with limited veges and I am walking also so my energy levels go down what should I do to increase my energy
Are you still here? I'm sorry, I haven't seen your posts before... None of the health problems you listed are so drastic that you shouldn't be able to lose weight with them; in fact, I have the same ones, except I'm not diabetic - I'm pre-diabetic, but I got my levels back to normal and have lost some weight, as well...
The first thing you have to do is make sure you thyroid hormone levels are where you need them... that doesn't mean just within the normal ranges; it mean "right for you". It's important to note that high cholesterol is a symptom of low thyroid hormones, so if your cholesterol is high, your thyroid hormones are probably not properly adjusted.
All of that said, your diet should consist of reasonable portions of protein in the form of meats, chicken, fish, eggs, dairy, beans, legumes, etc, along with vegetables of all types. Most vegetable have so few calories that you can eat almost as much as you want without worrying about portion sizes. You should also make sure you add healthy fats to each meal in the form of olive or coconut oil, avocados, nuts and nut butters, seeds, etc. Since you are diabetic, you should limit fruit to about 1 serving/day since fruit has a lot of sugar and will spike your blood sugar. Also avoid processed foods, white breads, white rice, pasta, etc and opt for brown rice and whole grain bread.
In addition to a daily walk, you should try to get some weight bearing exercise, at least 3 days/week, as that will build muscle and muscle burns fat
i have written so many times but nobody suggests me a thing is my problem so difficult that nobody has any answer
