Motivation for me is something of an emotional nature . I get fired up when I go hunting for a motivational movie clip or a short film at youtube. For me motivation comes from visual effects. When I feel down, i try to listen to my favorite music or video and put my self in a postion as not as a zero but as a hero!
Remember there is always a hero inside each of us...You will just have to find your own way to stir him up!
I have spent many years being unhappy with myself and have finally come to terms with the fact the this has to be forever. I don't want to be unhappy anymore. There are no shortcuts but it's definitely worth it. twehner5 is right, Fake It Till You Make It!!! You have to make the decision to do it. After a while it gets easier and hopefully will become second nature.
You can do it!!!
Everything that Lucinda said...and grit-my-teeth-determination. I HAVE to have a "nothin's gonna stop me now" attitude UNTIL *it* takes hold and I actually gain a new habit.
Believe it or not, NOW I "love" to exercise, and this only happened with all that I mentioned about starting almost 3 years ago. If I can do this at MY age, I believe in YOU that YOU can do it, too!!! ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING.
FAKE IT TILL YOU MAKE IT!!!
Me personally.....I keep in touch with friends going through the same issues. It can be very helpful to use the team approach.
I also gain a lot of strength and motivation through prayer. If this is something that you believe in....give it a try.
