I'm doing everything right and I'm not losing weight

I eat a very good breakfast lunch and dinner and healthy snacks in between, like fruit or yoghurt. Honestly, I did try the starvation diet thing where I tried to limit my food intake but that made me stressed and its more important for me to concentrate on school not hunger, so I stopped. Now I'm eating healthy foods and I go to the gym when I can and I'm doing everything right but I'm not losing any weight.
It hurts more when my incredibly thin friend skips breakfast and eats a bar of chocolate for lunch while I try to forget how wonderful it tastes. I know what she's doing is unhealthy but she looks so damn good. I just feel bad that she gets to eat all the tasty stuff and I can't and she's rewarded for it by being so thin.
Yes, yes I know how shallow I seem right now, but I could really use some suggestions, please.

It's not really possible to "catch up" on lost sleep; the best thing is to get a regular amount of sleep every night.  If you can't get a full 8, at least aim for 7.

Best of luck to you.

Thank you, ladies! I felt better reading your comments. Also, today my friend had a chocolate croissant. It's not good for her but atleast she's eating more. Hahahaha I guess it's hard not eating when other people are.
I'm trying to get more sleep, unfortunately there are not enough hours in the day to finish homework and get 8 hours of sleep at the same time. I'm hoping to catch up on lost sleep after highscool. ^_______^

I took a quick look at your weight tracker and yes, your BMI status is normal.  What is your height?  That makes a big difference.

I might suggest that you try using the food tracker to keep up with what you actually eat.  Sometimes, we end up eating more over the course of a day than we think we are.  If you track everything you put into your mouth, including what you drink, you might be able to find ways to cut back that won't be so hard for you.

I'm a firm believer in allowing ourselves to have the things we enjoy (such as a chocolate bar) - we just have to plan for it and keep the portions in check.  If you deny yourself all the things you like, you won't stick with any eating healthy plan.

Try eating a "mini" chocolate bar, instead of a large one and add it into your calories for the day.

By developing healthy eating habits and a healthy body image now, you will be able to reap the benefits long after your "skinny" friend has developed high blood pressure, diabetes and any number of other issues.  I'm not saying that she will for sure, but the chances are greater if she continues skipping breakfast and eating chocolate bars for lunch!!!

In addition, make sure you get plenty of regular exercise.  Even though you may not lose weight, you will keep your muscles toned, your heart in better shape and look sleek and sexy. Try yoga -- it's great for stretching the muscles and keeping them toned.  Yes, I'm a lot older than you are, but I know a lot of guys, even young ones, who don't like the "skin and bones" look.

Now, I don't have to work until later in the day, so I'm off to get some exercise -- yoga first, then the treadmill.........

Don't worry about it sounding shallow! I ran into the same thing in high school, before I was overweight. It's important that you are eating healthier now. Your friend may be skinnier now, but if you eat healthy & she continues the way she eats now the roles will be reversed in the future. I know how hard it is to look past the now, especially in school where everyone is expected to be Hollywood thin. I am not sure that I can tell you anything to make it easier for you, but you are doing the right thing by taking charge of your weight responsibly. Which brings up the fact that you are not overweight. Your BMI says you are within normal healthy weight range. I don't know your height, so I don't which end of the normal range you are at, but you are not as big as you think. Here are a few famous faces within the 120-130lb range:

Catherine Zeta Jones, 5'8", 130 lbs.
Beyonce Knowles, 5'5", 130 lbs.
Taylor Swift, 5'10", 120 lbs.
Kim Kardashian 5'2", 120 lbs.
Jessica Simpson, 5'2", 120 lbs.

Now that I have told you that you are not overweight, I will tell you one thing that you could be doing better: sleep. I know how much studying you have to do, but try to get as much regular sleep as you can. Your tracker says your average weeknight is 4.5 hours of sleep which isn't enough. Lack of sleep can lead to overeating and fat storage.

Don't give up! You are doing great & if you keep it up you will be a lot happier at 20, 30, & 40+ than a lot of women.
