Have you been tested for Graves Disease? Graves is a thyroid disease, often associated with hyperthyroidism, which is known to contribute to weight loss.
hi barb, yes,I have pernicious anemia, along with other health problems. I get iron ivs from one doctor and the b12 comes from my v.a. health care doctor. I go next week to try something new to get the vit. D up,if possible. Also I have no HDL ,so all of them are putting their heads togeather to find something to aid with that. I don't need to lose weight,in fact I need to re-gain more.that's why I asked the first question about b12.I need it,but wondered if it might play a hand in the weight loss I had. Thanks so much for helping, you're great. Sarah
There is only one kind of B12 shot and I'm sorry to say this, but B12 does not aid in weight loss, except that it may give you more energy to exercise. Do you have pernicious anemia?
I, too, take B12 shots (mine are weekly); while it helps with my energy levels, it does nothing for my weight, unless I get up and move.
Do you do your own injections? If you get your B12 from the pharmacy, it will not be mixed with lipo; nor will it be, if you get your injections at your doctor's office, unless you are going to a weight loss clinic.
