I had the BV too.  The odor is horribly embarrassing and messes with your head.  I feel your pain deeply.  I don't feel right down there since I got it in July.  I feel like its still there sometimes, I used the micro gel and Clindesse.  Your gyno can give u these things.  also, I ordered Feminol, a natural pill that gets rid of the odor.  It all has worked but I just still feel wrong down there sometimes.  Your vag just changes!  Also, eat organic yogurt everyday, it helps good bacteria grow on your cervix.  That was also suggested to me for BV.  Good Luck!

I am currently being treated for BV, but didn't have an odor. I had different symptoms. My doctor only seen a few clue cells on the wet mount swab which is what they look for in a infection with BV. Did you explain your concern about the fishy smell. I would go back, because it isn't normal to have an offensive odor. Did you wait the proper amount of time after your period to use the Vagisil test. I think it is five days after.

i got tested and all results came back negative, but the smell is still there. this is very upsetting. i take a shower every day and clean down there, i read that you shouldnt use scented soaps so i dont. im so embarrassed and i dont know what this is. i got the cultures taken just before i was about to go on my period, does that somehow make bv harder to detect? i dont know what to do. i heard that douching will give you infections. :(

Any bad smell coming from your vagina is not normal. BV also does smell especially bad after sex. I've had it a few times and the only symptom I have had was a foul smelling discharge. Go to your doctor.
