COULD I BE PREGNANT

MY PERIOD HAS BEEN REAL IRREGULAR FOR ABOUT THE LAST THREE OR FOUR MONTHS SO I'M NOT SURE WHEN I'M SUPPOSE TO START. I WORK IN X-RAY AND WE WE'RE PLAYING AROUND WITH AN ULTRASOUND MACHINE B/C I'VE BEEN TRYING TO GET PREGNANT SO THE TECH TOOK A PEEK.  SHE SAW A GESTATIONAL SAC TRANSABDOMINAL AND SHE WAS SHOCKED AS WAS I B/C I DIDN'T KNOW I WAS PREGNANT.  I CAME STRAIGHT HOME AND TOOK A TEST AND IT WAS NEGATIVE. MY QUESTION IS COULD THIS BE POSSIBLE TO BE PREGNANT AND THE HCG LEVELS NOT BE HIGH ENOUGH TO SHOW YET ON A HOME TEST? I DO HAVE PREGNANCY SYMPTOMS, VERY TENDER BREASTS, DIZZINESS, A LITTLE NAUSEA.  I DON'T KNOW WHAT MY BODY IS DOING. ANY SUGGESTIONS?  THANKS

Thanks for the comment. THis tech is pretty good.  I talked to her and she's gonna do a transvaginal on Monday and she said it could've been a fake out but my endometrium did look like a pregnant one.  I'm gonna take another test also in a week or so if I don't start and I'm gonna take it in the morning because this one I took in the afternoon.. It's so frustrating because I'm not even sure when I"m suppose to start because last month I started around the 22nd and usually I start around the 4th or the 7th of each month.  This month I spotted on the 7th for 2 days and then had a full blown period on the 22nd.  So I don't know if I'm late or not but anyways thanks for commenting.  Say a little prayer, I"m ready to have another little baby!

There are times when a pregancy test can be wrong. However, how much does this tech know? By the symptoms that you are experiencing, it sounds like you could be pregnant or it coudl just be your period.

I've had an irregular cycle for a while now. My symptoms are usually bad and my bitchiness is worse. The symptoms that you listed mirror mines, but I also experience cravings, fatigue if I do not eat at the correct time, and more so.

Your best bet would be to go to the GYN and tell her about it, allow her to see if you have a "gestational sac transabdominal", and take a pregnancy test.
