Brown discharge

I have been having a brown discharge this whole week. I have read up online about it and it says that it is just old blood, but does it take a week to get rid of it?

Sounds like a period. Sometimes periods can be irregular. Which would be what a doctor would tell you. If you are worried after the brown discharge is gone take another test.
