In other words, there is no way to know for sure that the egg "has died."
Well, Green, if your girlfriend is right, and ovulated 5 or 6 days ago, then you would not be able to get her pregnant, the egg would have been not viable by 5 or 6 days later. But it is almost impossible for a woman to know for sure when she ovulates. The only really accurate way would be if she had an ultrasound one day and they saw the follicle, and then had an ultrasound the next day and they saw the empty spot where the follicle was. In what way does your girlfriend 'know' she ovulated? Ovulation test kits only tell when there is a certain surge in hormones that lead the egg to mature and come down, and it can happen within a couple of days after the surge. Saying she knows "by how I feel" is not reliable either, since hormones can make someone feel like she is ovulating. Being able to tell by the condition of the cervical mucus is not very reliable either, certainly not pinpoint. The famous "eggwhite cervical mucus" lasts several days.
Next time, use protection.
Yes! A female can get pregnant Any time even on her period. There isn't a certain time of the month it's impossible for a female to get pregnant. It's just a much less of a chance of it happening. A woman is just a whole lot fertile during a certain time of the month. Some can even have there regular period while being pregnate and still have no complications and carry a healthy baby full term. My first was the easiest pregnancy and the easiest to carry. No complications bit I still had my normal heavy period from beginning of my pregnancy till the 7 th month. My other two I didn't have a period during like most pregnancys but I was passing out all of the time for no reason and they were very hard to carry. All 3 of my children r very healthy and I had no other problems.
To give a better understanding my gf ovulated 5 to 6 days ago and she said her egg is dead so we fooled around and I came in her and I really want to know if she can get pregnant?
It's hard to understand what you mean when you say "after her egg dies." How do you know when the egg came out? It's not usually a noticeable event even for the woman.
A woman can get pregnant if a man's sperm meets her viable egg. The egg is viable for about 24-36 hours in a given month. If the man's sperm happens to meet a viable egg, she might get pregnant. If the man and woman have sex at a time when she has not ovulated, or a long time after (such as a week later), she won't get pregnant with that egg.
But as I said, there is no certain way to know when a woman has a viable egg in her tube or uterus.
