Have any ideas that don't include doctor appointments?

I am a 23 yr old, white female. Exactly a week before my period my boyfriend & I had sex.  About half way through he pulled out & said he needed to put a condom on (I noticed pre-*** dripping from his penis). I look at myself & there was it was a deep brown vaginal discharge. I wipped myself and but a tampon in. An hour later we had sex again & there wasn't any discharge but I put a tampon just in case. Several hours later I took it out and there was a deep red just at the tip of the tampon. I left it out and only spotted light pink for a few more hours and that stopped. It has been a week since that experience and I am suppose to start today and still haven't. I always have regular periods.  And now I have a vaginal discharge, smelling like a dead animal that has started today. What could have caused this? Could I be pregnant?

you clearly have a sign of pregnancy. your late thats like the number 1 and key symptom of pregnancy. and you get pregnant through unprotected sex. so its very possible you are pregnant.

you should really go to the doctors

Brown blood usually just indicates old blood that is shedding down. Have you taken a pregnancy test yet? The smell could be an infection, bacterial vaginosis usually smells like fish. You need to take a test, and if it is negative, go see your doctor for treatment.

I am aware of the risks of having unprotected sex. But as far as my knowlege is concerned deep brown blood is not one of the usual symptoms of pregnacy, a light pink color is.  Usually the type I experienced means a miscarrage according to some of the research I have come across.  But miscarrage is not really a possiblility. I had absolutely no signs of pregnacy and had a normal period the month before.
Late and unprotected sex don't automatically mean pregnant either.
Being late could also have other factors contributing to it such as stress or unhealthy weight.
I am not an uninformed woman. I am in school for nursing but I don't really feel comfortable going up to my professors and telling them this information considering they actually know who I am.  I had a smelly discharge that comes and goes. I was thinking bacterial infection but what about the brown blood?
What are other theories?
