Hip Spreading

Do you hips really spread when you become pregnant? IF so, how much? Is it permanent?

Thank you,

My hips did spread. I'm lighter than my pre pregnancy weight but one size bigger because of my hips.

So they say.  I never noticed much.  If my stomach had not swollen, I could have stayed in pre-pregnancy jeans most of my pregnancy.  I'm now one size bigger, but I don't think it's the hips, I think it is still all in the front waist area.
