49 days late not pregnant could there be something else going on?

I haven't had a period since April and I'm not pregnant taken several at home tests including the blood test all come up negative. I haven't missed my period in years (8+ years) so this is causing confusion and concern. I generally get mine once a month every month but these last few months have been nerve wracking not having a period. Anyone experience this before? Any ideas what I should be asking my doctor to look for?
