Is It Me or Does She Smell Like Vinegar?

I had unprotected oral sex in February 2019. I started to smell a distinct odor (none fishy, but almost sour) in the next couple of days I suspected it was BV, given that I’m prone to having them. I contacted my Gynecologist who prescribed me Metronidazole for 14 days. I took as I was instructed, yet a slight vinegar odor has remained. At this point I’m assuming it’s my diet, I already have HSV2 and hoping it’s not another STD or STI. Has anyone experienced this? What could it be if not my diet?

Did you get swabbed again after the 14 days to be sure the BV was gone?

Unfortunately I did not. I’m scheduled for next month, waiting for new insurance.
