Is it normal for the clitoris to hurt or burn before or after a period?

I've had my period for a year or two now and I'm 16. I have been noticing that my clitoris starts to hurt or burn before and sometimes after I get my period. It only does this after I go to the bathroom or sometimes when I wear jeans and sit in a weird position. I also get a white discharge. I've read a few things about how your clitoris can become more sensitive and how you usually get a white discharge after sexual intercourse but I have never had any kind of sexual intercourse or behavior with the clitoris. Taking a bath or taking pain medication helps but I rarely have time to take a bath and I always try to avoid pain medications if I can because I take a lot of prescription drugs from the docter.
