Are you sexually active?
Are your periods irregular?
Have you been stressed out lately?
How's your diet?

All these are questions you should ask yourself, before assuming you're pregnant. If your period doesn't arrive for a while, you may want to check up with your gyno! :)

How many days would you normally be on a period?
And how many days after finishing your period would the next one start?

If you keep a diary of your menstrual cycle you can work out when your period is roughly due.  If you are a week late, then that would lead strongly to you being pregnant, especially if you had unprotected sex.

Periods can come late, when like SBJ1021 when she came off the birth control pill.  It can come late if you drink excess alcohol, if you are ill, due to a hormone imbalance and also if you do not eat properly (people who have anorexia, for example).

It is possible. I also, am later than usual. But I also ended my birth control and had a 3.5 week period. If it doens't come in the next week I suggest getting tested.

If your periods are normally on time and you have had unprotected sex, then there is a possibility of a pregnancy.

I do not know how late you have to be for a period before a home testing kit would be accurate.  A doctor can also do a test and some pharmacists do them too.

When you say your last period was on 19th December, you do not say if this was the first day of your last period or the last day of your last period.

If you do not keep a record of your periods, it would be a good idea to do so and also to write down any mood swings that you may get around 10 days before a period.
