Novasure and weight gain

Hi all, I am 47 and 5 weeks ago had to get Novasure ablation, a D & C done because I had non stop bleeding for 4 weeks and a couple of years of bad flooding periods. Anyway good news is theres been no blood at all so far, but I have noticed most days a low grade pain, like period pain some days really bad enough to need pain killers other times its just annoying. I have weighed 56kg for years and was 56.6kg on admission to hospital 5weeks ago now I am 58.6kg????? 2 kilos so quick? worried ill get bigger and bigger, anyone else had ablation and sudden weight gain? what was it ? am going for ultrasound to check it all in 1 hopur, fingers crossed, have heard stories the cervix gets fused shut and build up inside uterus causes pain and wreight and has to be removed. Will know soon if its that I suppose, but if its not then what is this? I see speialist for 6 wk chekup on Friday.

Ultrasound was clear, all biopsy also clear, weight seemed to come back off by 8th weeks after op, mustve been fluid swelling or hormonal.Pain finally all stopped on 8th week and still no period, so all in all a success

Hi,
How are you? How was your ultrasound and follow-up with your specialist? Temporary side effects of the procedure usually include cramping, nausea,
vomiting, discharge and spotting. Though weight gain is an unlikely effect, this could be due to hormone or other issues. Rare but  serious risks that needs to be monitored include  thermal injury, perforation and
infection. Take care and hope all is well. Do keep us posted and best regards.
