Ovarian Cyst and/or UTI - Prolonged Fever

Hey!

I am a 31yo female. Two Saturday nights ago I was feeling pressure when my bladder would empty. It was only felt at the end of urinating. Sunday morning had a low grade fever along with the pain so I went to a walk-in clinic and was diagnosed with a UTI. They didn't send off for a culture because they were confident in their diagnosis. I took the Macrobid and the pressure went away but the fever didn't.

Made an appointment with my GP on Thursday and she gave me a different antibiotic but the low grade fever never went away.

Last Sunday, one week from my UTI diagnosis, I had extreme pain on my left side and still had the low grade fever. Went to a OBGYN ER and was disgnosised with a cyst on my right ovary and one was resolving itself on the left ovary.

Following Monday I went back to my GP because the low grade fever was still happening. She preformed a Chest X-Ray, CBC, Kidney and Liver Function, and inflammation blood test and all came back normal.

I have had three unrine cultures since my origianl diagnosis and all are negative but with very small trace of blood.

Current on going symptoms:
-Low grade fever (average 99.5) for two weeks and annoying symptoms that go along with a fever
-Bloating
-Lower Abdominal Pain
-Lower Back Pain

Any insight would be greatly appreciated! I'm still following up with my GP and I have an appointment with my OBGYN next week.

Thanks

Thanks for advice! I will talk to OBGYN about on Thursday and post back.

The bladder pressure is back today and still have the low grade fever. Maybe the UTI didn't completely clear.

When I had mine I think they did a separate test but I'd ask your dr just incase. I get frequent uti's and I have a cyst but I've had BV twice and the same thing happened as you've experienced. I went on multiple antibiotics and nobody tested for BV for almost a year.
I would still ask your doctor just incase. The fever definitely means infection tho. Just try to keep it down with a cool cloth for now. I hope this helps!

You could also be having bladder spasm. I would ask for a ultrasound of your bladder. I used to have utis all the time my ex husband was a carrier. My last uti had gotten so bad without me knowing I had on it went straight to my bladder causing me to collapse when using the bathroom. The cyst also will cause lower abdomen pain. I also have those. Some will bust on their own some will not. If they get too large to bust  you will have to have surgery oo have them removed. Also not a picnic the surgery hurts worse than them busting.

Has your doctor test you for BV?

No, he is actually treating a yeast infection right now because the two antibiotics I was on. Would BV cause low grade fever?
Actually had my Pap smear a little over a week ago and it was normal with yeast growth. Would BV show up on the Pap smear?
