Period help!
I am 15, a virgin, and i've had my period for a while now (almost a year?).
I've had a bit of vaginal discharge in between or before my period, and I know, this is usually labelled as normal. But it smells a bit. Not too strong, but it smells (almost musky, but it definitely ranges; sometimes even kind of 'sweet'). I don't know how to explain it, but it's white, and either creamy (yuck, I know), or just a bit of a thin liquid.
Is it normal for it to smell? I'm a bit worried, and in no way am I brave enough to consult my mum (she isn't the kind of person I would ask...).
I don't know either if it's a yeast infection, or just regular vaginal discharge.

Your symptoms are suggestive of bacterial vaginosis. In addition to unpleasant "fishy" vaginal odor, thin white or yellowish discharge from vagina may also be present. Diagnosis can be confirmed after pelvic examination and microscopic examination of the vaginal discharge. Treatment is by metronidazole and clindamycin.
