Question?

Can you take a pregnancy test at 15 weeks and get a wrong result. I've taken 4 test, (all with the first morning urine) two at about 13 weeks, one at 14 weeks and one at 15 weeks all the results were not pregnant. Now I don't know if I'm pregnant I'm just going by the time of my first missed period but then the next month I had my period and then the next month again no period. I just need to know if you can be too far along for the test to not give a accurate result.

Hello, the only signs I have had is my 2 missed periods (that wasn't 2 mths in a row I had a period between the 2 missed periods) and the weight I've put on in my stomach area. My stomach isn't hard instead it's kind of flabby, I don't have morning sickness , my breast aren't sore and I had bad morning sickness everytime i smelt something cooking and when someone was smoking when I was pregnant with my son 27 yrs ago. I am starting to believe that I am starting menopause, I am 47 1/2 and for the past month I have been having hot flashes and night sweats like you wouldn't believe and that's something I'm not use to, I'm usually a very cold natured person. Now I have had mild hot flashes (very mild) at night for the past 6-7 mths but they have gotten unreal at all times of the day just this past mth. I do have a doctors appt in a couple of weeks so I will have him check my HCG just to be sure. And I have now taken 6 home pregnancy test and the results are still not pregnant.
I want to thank you for your advice.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
If you are having signs of pregnancy, I would suggest you to get your serum HCG levels estimated since this is more specific than urine for pregnancy tests. The HCG (it is a hormone) levels rise only in pregnancy and its presence will confirm the status of your pregnancy.
You can also get an ultrasound done.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
