Update. The pain is gone! I have some other concerns. I'll talk to my doctor about those instead. Yaaaayyyyyyy!
The pain is back. I called my doctor. I have an appointment next week. Wish me luck.
P.S.
I'm a virgin, so I know it can't be STD. What's the cause? I haven't found it online yet.
I did some research online. It sounds more like abscess Bartholin's gland. I'm really nervous to see the doctor. I've never had a physical before, and the thought of my doctor checking it creeps me out. It doesn't seem as painful today but the bump is still there. Should I still call my doctor for an appointment? Or wait? Will it go away on its own? Oh I hope it goes away on its own.
Thanks. I'll call my doctor first thing tomorrow morning to make an appointment. This has never happened to me before. Is this common? Will my family doctor check? Or will she send me to a specialist? My Family Doctor is often busy. What if the secretary says she can't schedule me for another few weeks to a month? I want to get this checked out ASAP. I'm glad it isn't cancer.
You definitely should see your doctor. It most likely is a vaginal ulcer if it is ulcerated
or red. If it is not like an ulcer, but is nodular then it could be an abscess of your Bartholin's gland, which can be taken care of with antibiotics. Cancer is typically painless, so I wouldn't think this would be the case. Don't panic, but simply make an appt. to see your gynecologist. Good luck!
