I have a boil that won't pop.. What should I do?

Hi everyone, I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right place but this is the issue that I'm having..
I have a boil on my vagina, near my bikini line but lower (very embarrassing) the issue is that I've had it for maybe a month and it just won't pop! I've tried everything I can think of to treat it at home (and what I do usually works, I have had boils before) I've used Tea Tree oil, hot water compresses (those 2 things usual do the trick), I also tried starch from a potato (I read about that trick online) but it just won't pop.. It went down over a week ago and I've had no pain what so ever since so I thought maybe it just isn't going to pop, but these last two days it seems to have risen up a little and it stings a little (only when touched, other than that it's causing no other problems). It's a little purple lump (how my boil usually look) and I think it just needs to pop and that would sort it out, but it just won't pop no matter what I try and do.
I really don't want to have to go to the doctors about this as I just don't like going to the doctors in general and it's also very embarrassing considering where the actual boil is, I must admit I'm also afraid incase it may need to be lanced (which I've heard is very painful). I just don't know what to do and any advice or solutions would be very helpful..
Thanks in advance!

Hi there.  Sorry to hear about this.  Honestly, you need to see your doctor or  A doctor (at urgent care or a clinic) to have this lanced most likely.  Do not try to do that on your own as you may make yourself prone to an infection.  In fact, stop trying to pop it on your own for the same reason.  This is a time in which a doctor is necessary.  good luck

Oddly enough the boil popped about an hour later after I posted my problem, it only drained a very small amount last night but has drained more today. Think it will be okay, thanks for your reply.
