Hi:
Anyone tried Trimovate cream? Worked for me after about a year of suffering. Only available here in the UK on prescription. Use twice a day for 8 weeks, then once a day for a few weeks, then every few days thereafter, and it seems to manage the condition very well.
Nice to know about the trimovate cream No I have not tried it How can I get it here in the US? would love to try it I have sufferd for 9 years now will try anything that might help!
Don't know whether you can get it in US. Suggest you ask your doc. It's ingredients are an anti-fungal, hydrocortisone and antibiotic (tetracycline). It may be under a different brand name in US. It's manufactured by Glaxo, I think.
Hope that helps.
Thanks for the help, I will ask my doctor about it maybe he knows! Im willing to try anything that might help get some quality of life back I have so many things with no luck! So I will check into this cream. thanks again! Rily
Sorry nothing new on vulvodynia, but if you learn of something new let me know, and I will do the same for you! rily
Hey, has anybody tried topamax? The doctor put me on it for migraine headaces and it really seems to be helping my vulvodynia as well. I have felt alot better I dont know there maybe something to this. Im going to keep taking it and hope for the best! I know its a anticuvulsant drug but it really seems to help, anything that will help im up for! ILL let all of you know if it keeps working! RILY
Anticonvulsent drugs work for all sorts of pain. I've had them for neuralgia, and now take them for tension headaches, although they don't seem to help the vulvodynia.
A diet low in oxalates benefits vulvadynia.
My doctor recommended Vagifen tablets and it seems to help alittle.
Just wanted to add what has helped me. I suffered from undiagnosed vaginal pain for almost a year before I was diagnosed with vulvodynia. My doctor thinks it was caused by an e.coli and/or herpes infection. The virus damaged the nerves. Well, I have been taking Lyrica for about 9 months, and it has been a life saver. I have almost no pain. I feel 99% better!
