Vagina Odor?

I know this sounds... disgusting, and gross. But I dont know what to do. Im 13 and instead of bleeding alot for my period, I usually only get brown blood and the black, and recently, theres a really bad odor. I cringed whenever im using the bathroom because i can smell it, and at school, im afraid other people can too. I asked my mom one day about it, complaining about it and she said she could smell the fishy smell to, know im kinda worried because she doesnt know what to do, and she smells it! In October, I went to a doctor because I started my period in August, and mom said I should see if I was okay, and to see if I needed vitamins because there might be a lack of blood. They didnt look at my vagina at all though, saying I only needed it when I was sexually active, trust me, Im not looking forward for that for a  long time! So im scared to go to the doctor about it, so if I dont know, my mom doesnt know, and I really dont need to go to a doctor, how do I get rid of this disgusting fishy odor I smell it?
