Vaginal lesions

I am 36 years old and have had the same partner (faithfully)  for 11 years.  About 10 years about I started having these sores develop in my vaginal region.  They almost looked like little blisters.  I will just call them Vaginal lesions.  When they are about to show up the area will start to itch and burn slightly.  Then the vaginal lesion arrives there is considerable pain.  It will last for about a week then go away.  When they first appeared I would get one or two at a time then they would go away, but a couple of weeks later a would get another.  I was miserable.  Through the years
they have lessened.  Last year I only had one and now, about a year later, I have another. OB/gyn

Wow. I'm amazed at all the people who seem to be going through the same thing I am. I've noticed these maybe for a year now. Been in a monogamous relationship for 2 years, but had some un-protected sex before that (boo). I get mine either just inside my outer labia, or up near the clitoral hood. They don't itch, they don't burn that much, and I only really notice them when I wipe, and boy, does that hurt. My boyfriend has no symptoms and we've been sexually active for 2 years now.

One thing I've always thought it might be associated with, and was wondering if anyone else has the same thing, is that I seem to be wet fairly often. My dr even noticed once during a pap. So I've always wondered if the fact that I'm wet, and no air is getting by my lips, is causing these. They bleed very rarely, and only when I wipe.

I have yet to go to a doctor about this, probably from the embarrassment.

I read some of the posts here (probably 15 - 20), but realized I'd be here for 3 days if I wanted to read them all. Anyone else that gets these, also suffer from being overly wet a lot?

I'm 19 and the area between my legs and vagina itches so bad that i itch until it bleeds. Itching it just feels so good that i can't stop. It hurts and I don't know what it is. I've tried neosporin and anti-itch cream and diaper rash but none of them help. I went on Birth control in July and the itching and tearing started in August. I'm thinking that the birth control might have something to do with it. I don't know though.

I had the same thing, i would tear little paper cuts just from wiping myself with toilet paper! After years going for tests, i finally went to a dermatologist and i was told it was seborrahic dermatitis and I was givien Nizoral creme and it has made a tremendous difference in my life. I found i was having skin reactions to so many products. My ob was great but never figured it out!

My Herpes test cam back negative.  My doctor wanted to send me to a dermatologist but the waiting period was just too long.  I am going to make another appointment with the gyno and take some of the information from this site to see if they can test for everything else.  I really want this problem solved cause I know my life would be alot happier when it is.  For some reason I am also thinking that it could actually be my urine that is down this.  The one spot wear I get the legion is also hit by a heavy flow of urine more then anywhere else on my vagina but I have not been able to find anything that would support that.

I just decided to look into this issue. I'm 23 & I get these blisters the week before my period. I started getting them in high school, way before I lost my virginity, so I never thought it to be a STD. But I've noticed, in the past year, since I lost my virginity, they have been a little more sporadic. They first began on the vaginal area only. Then I stopped getting them there and they would come under my arm, or on the inside of my leg. As the years went on, they stopped altogether, but my face began to break out really bad. I've even noticed 1 on my breast at 1 time. But the reason my concern has grown, is because I now have 1 on my left butt cheek. It hurts for me to stand, walk, sit, & lay. I'm completely in pain right now. This is the worst 1 I've ever had. And just like the other, it started a week before my period (which was actually the week of thanksgiving), and my face didn't break out at all. Can someone please help me with this issue??

Hello ladies!

I'm 19 and have had this problem for awhile, but I have an answer. I thought it was herpes but when that test came back negative my doctor tested for a vast amount of things. Ultimately it is and STD only because it is transmitted sexually. It is a fungal/ bacterial infection called Trichomoniasis. It doesn't describe the tears, but my doctor said the discharge makes it dry which in turn leads to ripping or tearing. After my diagnosis, I have been successfully cured of this horrid experience. Amazingly I cured my fiance' of his problem too. He had had it for 2 years and the doctors couldnt figure out what he had. When they came up with my diagnosis he got tested for the infection and we both are now Trichomoniasis free :) I hope this will help someone cuz i know how bad it hurts and how frustrating and embarressing it is. Good Luck to everyone
