Why is my period late? Am I pregnant?

My boyfriend and I have sex using the pull out method (which I know is not smart). My period was due 10/5/12 and is now going on 4 days late. My last period was from 9/8 to 9/12. We had sex 9/22, 9/25, 9/27, 10/2. I had spotting or what I think may have been implantation bleeding from 9/27 to 9/29. I'm now wondering if this could be my period (even though my periods are never this short, are heavier than this, and always come on time or a day early). Lately, I've been starving all the time and having frequent headaches. These are my only symptoms I think other than the missed period. I took a test the night my period was due and it was negative. We plan to test tomorrow morning. I won't be upset if I'm pregnant and I'm old enough to take care of myself and a child, it just won't be planned. Do you think what i thought was implantation bleeding was really my period? Why is my period late and the test negative?

I have had a similar problem! My period only lasted August 31st to September 2nd which is unusual short for me I stay on my periods for at least 5 days tops! I've had unprotected sex a day before my period started and on the 28th 29th and 30th so I'm kinda confused myself!

So I had sex on 8/5/15 and then had my period that following 8/9/15 after that it didn't last long then this following month ; I was 13 days late and then when I got my period (I guess) it was very light and short it only lasted 2.5 days ! It was very painful . Could this be a sign of pregnancy?

Test was negative and still no period. I'm hoping its just too early to detect the hormone because were starting to get excited!

Most test you buy now say you can take them 3 days after missed period . and they are accurate. Unfortunately its a waiting game Unless you go to Doctor and have blood draw.
Anxiety can cause a missed period also.
I would take another Pregnancy test in a day or two and go from there. let us know what results are :))

I have the same concern and symptoms.. Although I'm 2 weeks late and spotted around the time my period was due.. I've done 2 HPTs and they both came back negative :/ but we used the 'pullout method'  unsuccessfully 3 weeks ago.. I've been told I'm testing too early so I'd wait abit longer before testing again?
