Yellow/green vaginal discharge

For the last couple of months, I've noticed clear yellow (sometimes leaning towards green) discharge between my periods. The closest thing I can compare it to is the mucous plug a woman loses before giving birth, or snot from your nose. I've noticed this once or twice previously, but this is virtually all the time now!

The obvious answer here is to go to the doctor, and I have - I'm free of all the vaginal infections and STIs they usually test for (although I'm technically not outside of the 3 month window period for HIV, my understanding is that this isn't a known symptom of HIV, and the test I had is actually considered conclusive in the UK and some US states). I don't have any burning, itching, or pain outside of occasional minor discomfort during intercourse, which isn't uncommon for me.

One other point worth noting is that I recently had my Implanon (Nexaplon in the US) removed, and am now on a combo pill (which I've been on and off for years without issue)

Has anyone ever experienced anything like this? My doctor didn't seem too worried, and I'm not uncomfortable, but I've had it drilled into me that yellow discharge = bad news, and can't shake the worry that somethings wrong.
