brown dicharge and abdominal pain
I have a friend that has been experienceing some symptoms and she asked me for help. Although i work in a hospital i dont have all the answers...obgyn isnt my department! so heres the deal...she states she has been having lower abdominal pain on a scale from 1-10 its on average a 7 and its been about a month. she also has been having brown discharge and an strong odor...(she didnt state if it were a fishy odor or what.) Also she has been trying to get pregnant and not been able to! Any help?

No kidding! You would have thought i would have remembered. For one, your right, I wasn't used to wearing them. The string got inside me so I didn't even think I had one in. My husband and I had sex which made it go further up getting stuck to my cerivx. It's the craziest thing. And surprisingly enough it is so common! Hard to believe. No matter what, she needs to go into her gyn.

well i will i support her....shes been trying to get pregnant but shes not. A whole tampon? wouldnt you have noticed that when you didnt take it out that you shouldve? im confused on that! or is it just that you werent used to ewaring them and forgot? its not a big deal tho...how did things turn out....good i hope! but ill let her know!
Hi, I'm sorry your friend is experiencing this. When wierd things like that go on it is so frustrating. I think it can be a number of things. This will sound crazy but about 5 yrs ago a tampon got stuck in me. I know it is so so stupid but I usually don't wear them. Anyways, I was noticing this awful smell that got worse everyday and I was having brown discharge. Finally, I went to the doctor and a tampon was stuck to my cervix. I mean the smell was bad, like a dead animal. I'm sorry I know its gross. Also, is it at all possible she could be pregnant?
She should really go to her doctor. We always feel so embarrassed about these things and we shouldn't. Maybe you could go with her?
