chronic bacteria vaginosis

For the past 8 months or so I have had bv. I have taken every med you can think of. Even tried boric acid. My main symptom is burning sensation in my V. Sometimes I have discharge with or without an odor. Every time my gyn checks me she does a culture and looks under the microscope.  Now the culture always comes back negative.  But when she looks under the microscope she she clue cells. I've been tested for stds all came back negative.  When my symptoms first started they were accompanied with sensory neuropathy ( which is burning of the skin) on the front and sides of my thighs. I also had a high wbc of 19k, and my armpits hurt. The neuropathy has gotten a lot better.  Armpits still hurt. Wbc has come down to 11k.  I've been tested for so many things and everything is negative. Except I'm vitamin D deficient and my sugar level gets low sometimes. I don't know if all these symptoms are linked. But I'm scared feel like I have lost the will to live a happy life. I just want the bv to go away.

Thank you for your response. I have had multiple gyn examinations. Been given flagyl, clindamycin, and boric acid  so many times I lost count. None of the medications seem to work. So that leaves me wondering do I really have BV??? Keeping in mind ever culture is negative for BV. But clue cells are seen when my gyn checks under the microscope. Maybe I naturally have extra clue cells and my symptoms are being caused by something other than BV. So is what I need your help with. My main symptom is burning in my V. At one time I had the discharge and the smell but those went away. The only symptom that remains is the constant burning in my V. I realize it is hard for you to make a diagnosis without an examination. But suggests would be great. My gyn has examined me on a weekly basis over the last 8 months. Cervix and genital area look fine, they are not red or inflamed. I am really lost at this point!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Bacterial vaginosis is caused by a change in the type of bacteria found in the vagina.
The exact cause for the change in type of bacteria is still not known, but it is can be due to IUD’s,multiple sex partners or having interfcourse with a new partner.

In addition to unpleasant "fishy" vaginal odor, thin white or yellowish discharge from vagina may also be present. Diagnosis can be confirmed after pelvic examination and microscopic examination of the vaginal discharge. Treatment is by metronidazole((Flagyl, MetroGel) and clindamycin (Cleocin). They are available as pills or vaginal gels or creams and should be taken under medical supervision.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
