Sorry for not saying thank you earlier i did read this, You bothe helped her out tons... I know its not a joke btw, just laughin at the situations was the only way to get the questions out there cause she was to embarrassed to ask it herself...
I agree about the lactose intolerance issue. And, yes, lactose intolerance can cause a person to get backed up like that. Some people think it only means diarrhea, but that's not true. She needs to stop all lactose for a few days at the very least. She might even have to stop all cheese all together. This kind of thing has happened to me. It is dangerous not to take action to get the colon to move. It can cause a blockage.
It is advisable to follow the above comment, but you may also need to consider urgent care if the pain gets worse. I've had it bad enough that I wasn't able to walk, so I do know about blockage or partial blockage.
Before it gets that bad, buy ONE box of Fleet enema. There will be two bottles in the one box. I have noticed that when it is this bad that the first one usually helps get things started. Wait a while, according to directions, before even considering using the second one.
A good natural laxative is called TAM. It is made by American Health. It is effective, so do not take more than the directions say. Take the six tablets at night as recommended. If no action in the morning, do NOT take more. Drink more water and try to go about at least SOME normal activities, at least walking about the home a little bit and do things that take the mind off of being uncomfortable. I've had it where there was no action until mid day. Then, it all comes at once. After this evacuation, too, drink more water. Hydration is key for all laxatives, and it's also important for keeping the colon happy.
And, yes, you're right, the quicker the better, because it's not really a joke. It's miserable and uncomfortable. Once the laxative works, though, the worst of the misery is over.
If it's only been a day or so try a natural or gentle laxative. Something like prune juice. Otherwise she may have to do a chemical enema or strong laxative. Best to have her talk to a chemist/pharmacists about what's going on and they can help find her something. It's possible she is becoming lactose intolerant and may need to cut back on that cheese.
