how long after sex can u get a uti

my last period may 25th i had sex the 7th and 8th of June on the 11th or 12 i been experiencing sore breast and nasuea in my stomach that feeling u get when ur period is coming and it hasn't stopped and every day its on and off i had sex two days again With my boyfriend and i didn't take a shower right After and i felt the urge while we had sex i had to pee but didn't stop the next day i didn't eat or drink anything when i went to pee it was burning but i drank water and felt fine after today I bought cranberry juice and water I noticed Today more of stinging after i pee a little and when i sit down i feel a little bit of stinging and i feel like im going to pee on myself

thank you im on the antibiotics now I just got finished taking my second pill and I'm slightly feeling better does your urine change colors?

You can get a UTI without having sex, although sex can definitely cause one.  Drinking the "cranberry juice" you find in the supermarket won't help you (it's usually cranberry juice cocktail, which has more sugar than actual cranberry).  While there's some evidence that taking concentrated cranberry tablets can help prevent UTIs, they won't treat one you already have.  If you do have a UTI, you'll need antibiotics to clear it up.  Urgency and stinging can be signs of a UTI, so you should go to a clinic and get it checked out.

Keeping you and your boyfriend clean (with gentle, fragrance free soap to avoid irritation) and peeing before and after sex can help by flushing the urethra, making it harder for bacteria forced up there to settle in and grow.

It very common for uti i just had onebut it lead to my kidneys because the antibiotcs whrre not strong but my doc told me to prevent them was to make sure me or my bf  wash our selves before having sex  and make sure u go to the bathroom after also
