Some discarge is normal. I am not too much older than you and I know what your going through. It is tough to talk to a parent about these kind of things but I spoke with my mom and it wasn't as bad as I thought.
Clear or light milky discharge is normal. And once you get closer to starting your period it will be normal to see some light brown discarge.
Concerning the smell. It's normal to have a slight oder but if it's beyond that I would totally sugjest you ask a doctor.

I'm a GP and I can tell you that the confussion you are going through is normal and every woman wonders if something is wrong in our teen years. You are too young, But as time passes you'll get to know whats normal to tour body. It is normal that you get a clear (egg white like) discharge when you'r close to ovulation ir even when you get aroused (also a whiteish and creamier secretion could appear). Even a yellowish secretion is normal for most women for most of their cycles. It is also normal for that area to have certain smell which is something characteristic of you. That is part of the sexual atraction between human beings. What is NOT normal is a white cheesy secretion (like cottage cheese), and some yellowish/ brownish secretion with a smell like fish.

What is important for you to know is that every woman could experience an infección even if she's not sexually active and because of this, YOU SHOULDN'T BE AFRAID TO ASK! Your mother is the one you should ask but I know that isn't easy sometimes, specially when we are teens. If you have doubts is better to ask a professional. Don't be afraid
