painful and itchy yellow/white sores around labia, but sexually inactive?

Hello. I am an 18 year old female. Recently, I've been experiencing frequent and strong itchiness on my clitoris, and the other day, while I was in the shower, I was gently washing my vagina when I felt a twinge of pain in a certain spot. When I got out, I checked it out in the mirror and saw a large yellowish-white sore on the inside of my labia minors. Upon further inspection, I found other, less severe sores practically all around my labia. There is no smell and no discharge, as far as I have noticed (there may have been a tiny bit of milky white discharge at the bottom of the clitoris, but I'm unsure), however it is very itchy and painful. My clitoris also seems unusually dry. As I understand it, sores like these are usually due to genital herpes or some other sexually-transmitted infection, however I have never had any type of sex. No one has ever been "down there" so to speak. I have also never had any sort of problems in this area before. Is this likely a severe infection, and what other possibilities are there? I intend to go see a doctor about this, but I don't know when that will happen and it will put my mind at ease knowing more general information about the possibilities as soon as possible. Thank you.
