pink discharge/ slight odor in my vagina

Since Wednesday at around 1pm i have been having a pink discharge and im not quite sure why. I went to the doctor and they told me not to worry about it but i still dont understand whats going on. And today there is a slight odor, not like fish or anything just like my pH is off or something. I dont know if that is a thing or not. Can someone help me out?
