It could be the ovulating (most likely). It could also be the medication you both are on. If you are taking medicines look them up online or call a pharmacist and ask them about it.  If he is taking narcotics for any reason, that lowers the sperm count also. Which makes it more difficult to conceive...

You have about 20-25% chance of getting pregnant every cycle so it can take a few months to conceive. I don't know how far apart or how regular your cycles are, but if you want to increase your chances, you could monitor your ovulation. With a lot of women it occurs 2 weeks or so before their next period is due and is often accompanied by cervical mucus with the consistency of egg whites.

hey how are you...well i'm not a nurse or anything...i'm a senior in high school lol but i do study a lot about pregnancy, how it happens, and also study on why for some people it is hard to get pregnant (not saying it's going to be hard for you) but maybe you weren't ovulating because i've read that when your not ovulating it is a little harder to get pregnant than when you are.  I always asked myself the same question when i was with my bf, but i hope this helped, again not a nurse lol but hope it helps a little.  if your concerned about anything don't be afraid to ask a doctor.
