I used to have bacterial vaginosis all the time, I smelled so bad, I felt dirty, yet I knew I was clean.  One of my dr.s suggested taking a multi-strain probiotic.  The body is made up of good and bad bacteria and the smell is because the bad bacteria has outnumbered the good. If you take a multi-strain probiotic it helps even out the good and the bad bacteria.  Try it along with a medicine to get you taken care of, but if you take the probiotic daily and eat yogurt this probably won't reoccur.  She also told me to avoid sugars, it totally messes up our bodies.

I am in a similar situation. I have been tested for STDs three times this year thanks to the military who thinks if you have anything wrong with you it is an STD. I am clean. My husband is faithful, as am I, and I keep getting a nasty smell down below. We have tried everything and I have been treated for BV twice which does nothing. He no longer ejaculates inside me, I pee and rinse off before and after sex. He cleans himself as well. This has been occurring for about six months. He has asked me if I am cheating. It hurts my feelings when he asks. I would love info or suggestions.
