Hi, okay so i'm looking for some advice and you guys seem to be the group to go to. Okay so, i got my period about 3 weeks ago give or take a few days, but it came like a week earlier than it was supposed and it only lasted for like 3 days. A few days after it was over i had sex and i had been drinking (a lot) and i kind of just rolled over & went to sleep without going to the bathroom (i was always told to make sure i peed after intercourse to avoid yeast infections) anyway, the next morning i noticed an unusual smell and i was slightly concerned. I took a shower and went on about my business. I didn't really think much about it until i realized the smell was getting worse when i used the rest room. I started to notice a white sorta brown discharge, this seriously concerned my because i didn't know what it was and i've never experienced it before. Also, i started spotting a litte bit, i thought maybe i was starting my period again but it only lasted a few hours and then it just went back to white smelly discharge. I have made 2 doctors appointments for next week but in the mean time i need some advice. A few of my friends said it sounds like a yeast infection but they discribe that as (cottage cheese coming out of your vagina) which i'm not experiencing at all. Although, i read that antibiotics can yield yeast infections and i was on some serious ones for bronchitis a few weeks ago...I also read something about bacterial vaginosis which sounds super intimidating but i don't have the slightest clue what it is. I was thinking about going to the store and getting like something for a yeast infection but idk if that will hurt me if i dont actually have a yeast infection. I also have some old amoxicilin lying around i was thinking about taking but if i dont have a yeast infection i dont want it to get worse. Please please please help me, let me know what you guys think & if theres something i can do in the mean time. thanks

It could be a yeast infection.  Maybe it would be a good idea to get checked.

A milky white discharge is usually normal, it represents cervical and vaginal secretions that contain old vaginal wall cells.  As long as there is no burning or itching I wouldn't worry about it, but if so I'd see a doctor.  Hope this helps.
