urinary reflux

My 3 years son has gone through sting procedure 3 times as he was diagnosed 5 grade reflux on left side.Last month his mcug showed he still has reflux. He on prophylatic antibiotic treatment for last 2 and half years. We are worried about harmful effects of antibiotics .And also want to know material used in sting procedure is safe .Do you suggest any other treatment to cure reflux.
Thank you.

My son was borne with grade 4 of bilateral urine reflux. Last year we did a deflux sting for him and it didn't help; actually his kidneys and ureters are dilated now much morethan before (it seems that there is a small percent of patients body that might not absorb this Teflon material that is injected, and this will make the problem worse, it might block /semi block the ureters and this will cause kidneys failure!!!) . Our son is scheduled to do a surgical operation on the 23ed of this month...I hope this will put an end for his suffering. By the way he's an active little boy like any other boy in his age, but his under weight;  he's six and a half years old and his weight is only 17 Kg.!!!

im not sure what the sting procedure is sorry but i can tell you that my son was on prophylatic medication from birth till he was 2 1/2 and as much as their bodies can become immune to the antibiotics the need to take them to prevent the infections and possible kidney damage outweighs the cons for taking the medication.  My son had corrective surgery in which the uretra's were reinplanted to the base of his bladder and nothing artificial was used i do how ever know that pig valves are used in cases where the valve at the bladder is faulty and they work very well.
