testicle shrinkage
Hi! I am a swedish, 33 year old guy. Ten years ago I got some infection, sexual transmittes disease that have ruined my life. I didnt search for help and after a few months my testicles began to shrink. The left on is barerly half the size as before and the right one maybe 60-70 percent or the size before the infection. The ejaculation is just a few drops, and before it was really quite much. Is there anything to do? Seen a urologist that told me i had both a small varicocele and a hydrococele, but he thought that the infection I had was the reason my testicle size shrank. is that the case? testosteron level 12-15. he told me that would be no surgery because it still do function. I guess he don't understand how this has ruined my life completely, there is not a small schange in the testicle and sperm production. My sexdrive is very low, and has been that way since the infection. Before I had a really high sexdrive. Is there anything to do? Anyone else that this has happened to?

Ok, thanks for the comment. Called and checked my testosteronelevel tests I've done earlier. 17 and 20. I guess that's normal? Still my testicles have shrunk with at least two centimeters each. The left one more than the right. I don't know if it's repairable.Guess I should get a ultrasound.

You should get a ultrasound of the testes done to find out the exact size of the testes. A semen analysis would let you know about the quality of the sperms. Sex drive has got a lot to do with psychological condition of the person. Once the results of the tests are back, then the urologist can decide if you need to undergo treatment or if everything is normal. This would go a long way in improving your sex drive. What are the units for the testosterone levels? Even if the levels are low, you should discuss with your doctor about the hormone replacement therapy which can help in cases with low testosterone.
The first thing to do is to find out if there is damage and if so then to what extent. Do write in with the reports of the tests.
