I'm voting to make Skailark captain of exercise accountability .. all in favor???
Yeaaa! way to go! I am Super Duper Happy!
Ranae made me do it - not that I had to have my arm twisted. I'm good. Did you get my message? I did my 100 crunches today. Are you happy?
Let's do this again! It was a great idea.
C~
Is great .. am thrilled ... and you are most welcome. Thank YOU!!!
Skailark is signing in, I believe ..
Skailark reporting! how's everyone doing?
They seem good for all of the above - in between asking/answering ??'s, chatting is what friends do best! My shyness comes out.
Okay, I will look for the tracker. Thank you again
Have a question .. and will start a poll later .. do you think these chats are helpful? Do you like them to answer questions and exchange answers or to "chat"??
Ranaes suggestion of starting your metabolism is soooo important. A couple of years ago, a friend and I were starting an early a.m. 3-mile walking routine. We started it almost the same day. I got up about a half an hour earlier in order to eat something (yogurt, half a bagel w/peanut butter, etc.). She didn't believe in eating b/4 exercising. Guess what? She lost NO weight while the weight just melted off of me. And we had almost the exact amount of weight to lose. You have to jump start your metabolism through out the day, but especially breakfast or b/4 exercising.
well .. the more you work out, the more you're taxing your body and your body preserves. Let me suggest this .. try eating a little something as a midmorning snack .. just a little something .. a SF jello, some applesauce .. perhaps a couple ounces of lean turkey. That is enough to start your metabolism.
Then, are you using the exercise tracker? Be sure to record your exercise there so we can follow together .. let's see how many calories you're burning a day .. this will provide us with some valuable info .. k?
Trust me .. he'll be here .. within the next 10-15. Normally at 7 my time, but UK changed time zones a week before the US .. so 7 = 8 this week .. loll
Spouse ... willing to work with me and figure out a plan??? Would love to help and we can share your daily food and activities as you see fit ..
Thank you all for all your advice, I just can't seem to eat more then that. I know when your thyroid is bad you metabolism shuts down, my husband suggested a nutritionist, also my anti-tpo is 3591 range (0-35) I am wondering if that can have anything to do with it. I thought I wasan't getting enough t3 so I talked my regular doc into giving me some to try for five weeks, all that happened was I had a lot more energy but alot of bad side effects and no weight loss. Before I was diagnosed with hypo, that is all I ate and maintained my weight of 135 pounds. I am now at 170 and am working out way more then I was then. It doesn't make sense.
Well, now he's not showing up as on-line. We'll all get him!
Was he online in MH??? Do not think he is shy .. is a bouncing tiggerrrrr .. T - I - double "g" - RRRrrrr ..
Definitely tease him .. :0)

spouse -- if I may and with all due respect ...
when you don't eat dinner .. and I don't see snacks .. and you exercise a lot ... you body goes into starvation mode. What that means is .. in an effort to preserve YOU .. and it is a remarkable tool because it preserves life say in a time of famine ... your body holds on to every precious calorie, becomes very efficient in metabolism ... and HOLDS your weight.
It sounds strange, but you must eat a little more to send the right signal to your brain that you are NOT starving and it is okay for your body to let loose of the calories.
I did an article on it .. let me see if I can provide it to you.
Now, he's not on-line. Is he being shy?
