I have found writing poetry has helped and want to share...

here is what I have written so far:

Life's Path

Life changes,
Now without warning
The us- shattered

The future, erased
The present, denied
The past, clung to

To be happy,
to be here

To find a new path,
The re-birth of me.

Why

Our union is over,
Destroyed by She? He?

Not faulted to me,
yet punished, extreme!

She gets a new start,
I shoulder my heart.

Should I be grateful,
or angry, spiteful?

An Empty Hole

I am a black hole,
consuming all light,
Not letting a ray out,
embracing blackness, fright.

She caused this travisty,
yet comes out complete.
I but a victim of her need,
left holding the bag, as empty as me.

Surreality

In a dream,
we are whole.
Filled with beginnings bliss,
made real by that first kiss.

Back to Reality, Pain, Awake!

That infinite dream, dissolved,
Reduced to a mote, a moment, ache.

My surrounds surreal,
cheap imitations, fake.

My wakefulness waiting for escape!

Oh, to wait for new bliss,
wait for that next first kiss.
